Premcrete assisted BAM Nuttall on the Heathrow Tunnel project to undertake refurbishment work on the main and cargo access tunnels to the airport.

The Challenge

Heathrow Airport has awarded BAM Nuttall a contract valued at more than £85m to undertake refurbishment work on the main and cargo access tunnels to the airport.

Part of the refurbishment works was to carry out concrete repairs to the spalled concrete using an R4 Structural Mortar in accordance with BS EN1504.

Premcrete supplied BAM Nuttall with Teknocem S which met the performance specification.
