Premcrete were glad to be working directly with the St William division of the Berkeley Group throughout the early stages of the design. Challenges were faced with an exceptional level of gas risk combined with the need to protect against contaminated ground conditions. Through detailed engagement Premcrete were glad to introduce industry expertise which helped to rationalise the level of risk across the project, therefore enabling a practicable design solution to be incorporated.
Hydrocrete Watertight Concrete was used throughout the entire substructure, with Combi-Seal Plus being designed to provide combined Gas, VOC and Waterproofing Protection to the Grade 3 zones of the environment and was also adopted for use within the Grade 2 car park to future-proof its use.
This Scheme will deliver 577 new homes and the majority of the commercial space and public amenities. It will help to provide job opportunities for business owners and those seeking employment with the commercial space delivering places to eat and drink, a food store, space for a publicly accessible gym and community space. A new public square will be created which lies in the heart of this part of the new development.
