The Challenge

Bouygues UK has been appointed by Taylor Wimpey Central London to construct the first phase of Postmark, its redevelopment of the old Royal Mail sorting office at Mount Pleasant in Farringdon. The first phase, on which Bouygues has now started work under a £100m contract, is a 214-apartment complex called West Central 1, or WC1. The second phase is called EC1, reflecting that the development straddles two London postcodes.

Premcrete supported Bouygues UK with the design and supply of the structural waterproofing to the vast basement using a combination of Maxiprufe 2000, Maxiprufe Plus and Hydrocrete Watertight Concrete.
