London

Victoria Quarter – Phase 2

2024

The Challenge

This extensive excavated basement, originally dug out by another company and left exposed, has essentially turned into one of London’s largest makeshift swimming pools! Now revived, this once-abandoned project is being transformed into a residential development featuring a large basement, substantial structure above and multiple ground-floor plots.

The Challenge:

  • The basement was a combination of car park, switch rooms and plant rooms, which required grade 1b in the car park area and grade 2 in some of the more sensitive areas, including the lift cores. This required a keen eye for detail from Premcrete’s expert in-house design team to ensure all bases were covered… and protected.

The Solution:

  • We deployed Hydrocrete throughout and incorporated a pre-applied Maxiprufe Plus membrane where grade 2 was required: ensuring exceptional protection from water ingress.
