Leeds

Points Cross – Phase 2

2024

The Challenge

Delivering 928 affordable homes, the largest development in the Guinness Partnership’s 13-year history, this project connects efficiently to Leeds city centre – helping to create a unique sense of place for those who will live and work in the neighbourhood.

The Challenge:

  • The basement car park required a Grade 1b waterproof membrane as per NHBC standards.
  • Ensuring a reliable single form of protection whilst dealing with the complex requirements of a large-scale affordable housing project.

The Solution:

  • We utilised Maxiprufe Plus, our self-healing membrane renowned for its lightweight, durable and easy-to-install properties. This provided an ideal solution, offering long-lasting waterproofing and effectively adapting to structural movements.
  • Hydrocrete was also used to enhance the robustness of the waterproofing system, ensuring maximum protection against water ingress.
  • Our solution not only met the stringent NHBC standards, but also facilitated a smoother installation process, saving time and reducing costs.
